We have our hands on WhatsApp’s newest beta update and compared the modifications introduced by it using the most recent stable build (v2.19.34) of this program on Android. These screenshots show a side-by-side difference, highlighting the relocation of certain tools, new icons and the way data is displayed on the screen. The first noticeable change is the addition of a’Payments’ choice on the primary’Settings’ page that shows a history of payments and details of the linked bank account.
Each choice in the’Accounts’ section has a icon at the beta build (L) vs the plain layout on the secure version (R)
Opening the’Accounts’ section shows that each choice currently has a dedicated pub, while the steady build lacks iconography from the sub-sections. Moreover, tapping ‘Security’,”Change amount’, and’Two-step confirmation’ shows they also have gained redesigned icons too. The design of all options in the’Notifications’ section stays the same however. All the tools in the’Help’ section also have been upgraded with committed icons.

Going over to the’Data and storage usage’, an individual can now observe the net amount of data sent and received under the’Network Usage’ text along with the memory utilization status below’Storage’. This info interface is scattered on the messenger app’s stable version. Moreover, tapping the’Network use’ option reveals a very different layout, with each parameter for example calls, media, and messages featuring an icon of their own, whereas the storage amounts are displayed on the right.

Additionally, the’Network Usage’ page today shows the memory usage status with details like time and date, as well as the whole amount of information sent and received by consumers. With the exception of’Payments’, it appears that the changes brought from the beta upgrade are mostly functional in nature and were spotted from WABetaInfo. The beta watcher also asserts the aforesaid tweaks will soon be rolled out through the stable station soon but a launch date is yet to be revealed.
