Twitter is testing a home-screen button to help its 326 million users Change the order of Their tweets they View, the social Media Declared on Thursday.
The micro-blogging platform said a small number of iOS users will probably find a button on the home screen that allows them to switch between a display of tweets.
“Sometimes you wish to find the latest Tweets, first. We are analyzing a way for you to make it much easier to change your deadline between the most recent and best Tweets.
“Starting Thursday, a small number of you will observe this evaluation on iOS,” tweeted the provider.
The feature is currently available on the iOS but will come to Android too.
Giving its over million consumers control, Twitter in September declared that it would totally revert their deadline into a pristine reverse chosen feed.
The micro-blogging platform in 2016 announced that it will only show”most significant tweets” and stop the most recent tweets first which irked several users.
It announced in the coming weeks, it is going to start testing a”method to switch between a timeline of tweets which are most relevant for you as well as also a timeline of the most recent tweets”.
“We have learned that when revealing the best Tweets initially, people find Twitter more relevant and useful. However, we’ve heard feedback from people who, at times, prefer to find the latest tweets,” said Twitter.
“Our goal with the deadline is to balance showing you the latest tweets using the best tweets you are most likely to care about, but we do not always get this balance right,” it added.
Twitter has also confirmed it was considering eliminating the heart-shaped’Like’ button after its CEO Jack Dorsey confessed that he was not a fan and could be getting rid of it”shortly”.
