Poco F1 users are getting the MIUI 10 3.4.0 Stable ROM Upgrade, with the Greatest change Unquestionably Widevine L1 support.
After testing it for a brief period, Xiaomi has confirmed it’s now rolling out Widevine L1 support for Poco F1 users. This means that consumers will be able to stream Amazon Prime and Hotstar in HD, once they set up the newest update. With the upgrade, Poco F1 users are getting 4K recording 60FPS, a Game Turbo Mode to raise the gambling experience, and the latest security patch too. The update is rolling out through OTA in a phased manner, therefore it may not be readily available for downloading immediately.
He affirms that Poco F1 is getting the expected Widevine L1 support for this MIUI 10 3.4.0 Stable ROM update. However, Poco F1 is yet to have Netflix HD streaming support. Xiaomi has confirmed which HD support for Netflix should arrive shortly. This update also updates the security patch to March 2019, and also a new Game Turbo mode for boosting the gambling experience.
The changelog shared by Manmohan says that this update also brings a new NFC shortcut from the telling color, a new capability to restrict access to telling shade while the telephone is locked, along with the ability to stay on the lock display after utilizing Face Unlock. The company had stated that it would add 4K video recording at 60fps support in February this year, but didn’t happen. But this new upgrade brings the expected support for 4K 60fps. Earlier, Poco F1 only let 30fps frame rate as the maximum for record 4K videos. There is also a new UI tweak that will demonstrate a floating window for incoming calls through gameplay.
This update also brings a slew of fixes including a problem that caused a delay in ending calls, and a mistake that caused the status bar shortcut and the floating notifications for calls to appear at the same moment. It’s optimised Face Unlock efficacy and face data recording. The upgrade also fixed an issue that didn’t allow the battery low warning to appear in landscape mode, and an issue which didn’t allow the media playback volume to be restored after it had been lowered through an incoming notification.
The incorrect notification badge issue for your WhatsApp icon was fixed, and errors on the Clock app and Camera programs were fixed. The update fixes an issue that induce shut the Camera app when it had been closed and opened in movie mode. The update also brings a redesigned Mi Cloud page, and optimised Sync Settings also. Manmohan added that the upgrade also brings a system stability limitation.
As previously mentioned, the update is a phased rollout, therefore it may be a few days until it reaches all users.
