Image result for Business SucceedIn difficult times it is still essential that we promote our products, services and/or facilities. Luckily we live in a time when it is very easy to promote our businesses on a small budget. You will need to put in some or even a lot of time but the results could prove very beneficial. Here I would like to introduce 5 things you can do to help your company to succeed.
Use Promotional Gifts: What you order and how many is really up to you. If you are on a tight budget, there a many products that can be ordered quite inexpensively such as pens, logobugs, pencils, coasters etc. Tell your promotional gift supplier how much you would like to spend and how many customers/target customers you have and they should be able to recommend hundreds of products to you that are well within your budget. Often you can pick up end of year or discontinued products for next to nothing so be sure to ask. Business gifts are an excellent way of getting your logo and contact details in front of the people that matter most.
Learn a Little HTML: If you are not familiar with HTML, it is a basic language used to design websites. Knowing a little of this could help you in many aspects of your business such as search engine optimization and article writing. Who knows, you could end up designing your own sites if you do not do so already. Having a good grasp of this code will ensure you are not ripped off when it comes to having your own site designed.
Write Articles: Whatever your niche may be, use your knowledge and write articles telling people about your industry. This will increase traffic to your website. There are many articles already available to you online on how you can benefit from teaching people about your products and services. At the end of each of your articles, you are allowed to have two links back to your website. I recommend having one of the links be in plain text such as and the other link should be anchored text such as you see at the end of this article. If you are not sure how to do this, drop me a line.
Use Social Media: Social media sites like Twitter and Facebook are still very much in their infancy. It is still not exactly clear which direction this exciting new media will take us. If you have not signed up for a free account yet, do so. Learn as you go and have fun. Depending on your industry, you may already be able to think of a few ways of using social medial in your marketing. Through Twitter, I have kept in contact with my customers and suppliers and also met a lot of my competitors.
Learn About Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Now is the time to take control of the search engine optimization of you website. This used to be a very secretive occupation with very little information freely given out on how it was done. Luckily, there are now many very good books on the topic. Even if you do not have the time to personally undertake your own SEO campaign, learn enough so that you can understand what is being done on your behalf. So many companies have been taken for a ride by black hat SEO consultants over the years. Most never deliver on their promises. Even if you only allot 20 minutes of your time to SEO, you will surly find that your website ranks higher over time.
